Wedding Accommodation near Salisbury

Glebe House is a four-bedroom self-catering holiday house in Barford St Martin, Wiltshire, near Salisbury. It makes a welcoming base for families and friends attending weddings at nearby venues, including West Barn Lodge, The Stalls at Strang Manor Farm and Bowerchalke Barn.

The house comfortably sleeps eight, with space for up to ten using two additional guest beds by prior arrangement.

We regularly welcome guests attending weddings in the surrounding countryside, from brides staying with their bridesmaids the night before to groups of friends making a weekend of the celebrations.

The kitchen, dining room and living spaces give everyone room to gather, enjoy breakfast and share the build-up to the day.

We have welcomed brides and bridesmaids getting ready together at Glebe House. If you are planning wedding morning preparations, please tell us about your arrangements, including any visiting hairdressers, makeup artists or photographers, so we can discuss what will work for your stay.

There are four bedrooms:

• A king bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.
• A super king or twin bedroom with an ensuite bathroom.
• A double bedroom.
• A second super king or twin bedroom.

We get in touch about ten days before arrival to ask how you would like the two flexible bedrooms arranged.

Two additional pocket-sprung guest beds are available by prior arrangement at £20 per bed per night. They are shorter and narrower than full-size single beds, making them ideal for children and suitable for smaller adults.

Glebe House offers a welcoming base for guests attending weddings at several venues in the surrounding countryside:

• West Barn Lodge, near Fovant, is approximately 5 miles from Glebe House, an 8 to 10 minute drive.
  
  
• The Stalls at Strang Manor Farm, in Sutton Mandeville, is approximately 5½ miles away, an 8 to 10 minute drive.
  
  
• Bowerchalke Barn, in the Chalke Valley, is approximately 9 miles away, a 15 to 20 minute drive.

Other venues in the wider area include Pythouse Kitchen Garden, Hatch House, Larmer Tree Gardens, Ashley Wood Farm and venues on the Fonthill Estate. We have also welcomed guests attending weddings at Syrencot.

Driving times are approximate and depend on traffic and road conditions. If you need taxis, please book both your outward and return journeys in advance.

If you will need taxis, book both your journey to the wedding and your return in advance. Rural taxis can be difficult to arrange at short notice, particularly late in the evening.

There is parking for up to three cars at Glebe House. Please contact us before arrival if your group will bring more cars, and keep the lane clear.

Staying together means the wedding does not have to be the only time you see each other. Enjoy supper before the celebrations, breakfast together and somewhere comfortable to return to afterwards.

Glebe House is a place to stay while attending a wedding elsewhere. Family gatherings are welcome, but parties are not permitted.

Standard check-in is after 4 pm. If an earlier arrival or later departure would help with your wedding plans, you are very welcome to ask.

Both depend on the bookings either side of your stay and the time needed to prepare the house, so please plan around the standard times unless we have confirmed another arrangement.

A charge may apply, depending on the extra time requested, and we will confirm any cost before you agree. When the schedule allows, we may be able to offer a little extra time at no additional charge.
